EXHIBITION  21.02-14.03.2021 / NEW – WATCH PARTY 06.03.2021, 14:00 h / PRE-RECORDING CONFERENCE 20.02.2021

Projects from Aarhus meet projects from Hamburg in order to experience the similarity and relationship of each other’s aesthetic approaches in their particular differences. All projects have in common a transdisciplinary orientation and an impact in the various fields of the social. We would like to learn with and from each other how strategies in solidarity in the field of international art and cultural exchange can develop new forms that reflect appropriately the problems of our time. The question pursues a critical consideration of the supposedly generally accepted concept of “we”.

„... Men in the plural, that is, men in so far as they live and move and act in this world, can experience meaningfulness only because they can talk with and make sense to each other and to themselves...“. Hannah Arendt/Human Conditions

" ... It’s pointless for you to hide

These chards inside your pocket

Chards of glass have no saviors

Who are you lingering on in hope for? ..."

Sheeshon Ka Maseeha / The Messiah of Glass” by Faiz Ahmed Faiz
„...Ich bin überzeugt, dass Kunst und Kultur unverzichtbare Grundlage einer Gesellschaft im demokratischen und friedlichen Zusammenleben sind. Je kreativer eine Gesellschaft ist, umso fähiger ist sie aufzustehen und damit zu überleben....“   Martin Roth, Widerspruch, 2017

What’s the promise of the word culture in a world of mobility taking a shortcut by supersonic speed, therefore making distances more and more insignificant and places getting closer?
